My son (age 5) just got his first ever cut by Sophie. I was so nervous to have his hair finally cut but she made the process so smooth and easy for the both of us. Sophie had me be apart of each step from beginning to end, so I am able to manage his hair on my own at home. And she also shared with me each product and tool she would be using on his hair. She was so patient with him and made him feel comfortable. I would totally recommend her for all curly kids and adults. Will definitely be coming back for our second trim in a few months!

Sophie is the best! I have two daughters with curly hair and Sophie is the first person to really explain how to take care of it. We thought we were in good hands as soon as we walked in and we were right. The whole experience was great and both girls looked phenomenal after Sophie was done. Their hair was soft, had perfect curls and was frizz free. Sophie sent instructions afterwards and almost 2 weeks later my daughters’ hair is still looking fabulous. Thank you Sophie!

I have been having my hair styled by Sofie for about 20 years! She is the best! I always leave so happy, with the best hair. She nurtures my curls and my soul. She takes her time and it is a wonderful relaxing experience. Before I met Sofie I would be so nervous for someone to cut my curls because no matter how much they said they knew how to handle them, they never did and I would always leave upset. Before even beginning she imparted a wealth of tips that were already worth the cost of the visit. She is generous with her knowledge and attention to detail. Sophie is an absolute miracle worker with curly hair. We recently visited her at her beautiful salon in NYC from out of town and it was absolutely worth the trip. It was unlike any salon experience I have ever had and wildly exceeded my expectations. Even before the appointment, she asked questions about the hair and wanted to see photos to prepare. She was very patient with my young daughter and really took the time to ask questions about our lifestyle and offer helpful and realistic suggestions on ways my daughter could improve her curly hair. Sophie is obviously extremely knowledgeable about how to maximize your hair and enhance curl (and avoid frizz) and had recommendations for reasonably priced products and equipment which truly work (she does not sell products herself so her recommendations are trustworthy). Sophie’s haircut was simply amazing — she did exactly what we asked, and the curl held for days. My daughter’s hair has never looked or smelled this good! She is also now able to care for her curls with confidence since she understands the techniques involved. Sophie even followed up after the appointment to see if we had any questions or concerns. Lastly, Sophie is a lovely human being—she is super kind and considerate. I highly recommended seeing her if you have curly or wavy hair. You will not regret it! We cannot wait to see her again!
