Sophie is my go-to curly hair expert. I’ve been going to her for almost 3 years now, and every single time she touches my hair, my curls are bouncier, fuller, my hair feels lighter and has so much volume. She is so respectful of the length she cuts, and she is always giving me tips that are tailored to my hair. She always asks for my current routine and adds corrections or modifications as she is assessing my hair. She never gate keeps products or styling tricks. She’s awesome.

I’ve always had a hard time finding a stylist that can deal with my textured, curly, Middle Eastern hair and often times have left the salon disappointed. I was paired with Sophie a few years back when she worked in a salon in Jersey and have stuck with her since then, even through her move to NYC. She specializes in curly hair and knows what she’s doing. She is personable, accommodating and thorough in explaining the different steps of washing/conditioning, styling and maintaining. She’s also a great listener and addresses all concerns. I never feel rushed and I always feel great leaving her chair. Sophie has been cutting my curls for over 12 years, and she’s been with me through so many hair transitions including post partum hair changes, and different styles as well. I used to want to have longer layers with less volume, and the past handful of years I have been a big fan of all the volume (so great)! She’s made it happen, whatever it is I’ve envisioned.
